iPad bonus note: Keyboard is usable. My odd typing style (watching hands not screen) is ideal and apparently futuristic. Touch-typer? Uh-oh.
iPad notes #5: Once you use it, you’ll see that this is the future of computing devices. I want everything to work this way.
iPad notes #4: the thing is built like a tank. There is no flex or bend. The case is good for propping it up but it feels better without it.
iPad notes #3: The device itself totally disappears. Apple’s genius is removing real buttons. You’re hands-on with the interface – no proxy
iPad notes #2: It is sort of a giant iPod touch but the size makes it what it is. Suddenly the iPhone feels like looking through a key hole.
iPad notes #1: The battery claims are true. I’ll start to feel that it must be time to plug it in but it will be 60% full. It lasts forever.
So I’ve had my iPad for a couple weeks now. It’s a pretty astounding gizmo. You should get one but it does have some pros and cons. Notes…

Wow, Twitter bought Tweetie and @atebits will work there on it. Good news all around as far as I see it. Will Tweetie/Twitter app be free?
Awoke today with a start since I dreamt that I had somehow slept past 2pm when unclaimed iPad pre-orders are sold off to the general public.
You know how I know we live in the future? This is in Time’s otherwise positive iPad review: “It doesn’t even have a damn camera.” Future.
Imagine going back to the year 2000 to tell yourself that Apple sells books and is taking aim at Amazon. You’d think future-you was a moron.
What I think the iPad naysayers should consider, is like the move from command line to GUI, the switch to touch has to be a *real* break.
